Social Visitors Greek and English speaking, HammondCare - Bayside area We're looking for kind‑hearted volunteers who can spare about an hour a week to visit one of our three lovely older locals in and near the Bayside area. Two clients speak Greek and English, and one speaks Greek only; all would really appreciate a friendly chat, maybe a short stroll together and a friendly connection. Your weekly visit to one of these clients is sure to bring warmth, friendship, and joy to both you and the person you visit. Your impact Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. Your visits will bring great joy to the client you are matched with. HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community. We're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need and we have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of clients who are living at home.
