In Australia, we operate a select, highly skilled, internationally diverse engineering team, providing engineering and design advisory services to Australia's naval programs, and maritime autonomy system development. Our team holds expertise across naval architecture, marine engineering, systems engineering, integrated logistics support, engineering consulting and acquisition program management. Your New Role and Responsibilities Lead and contribute to ship design and build activities, ensuring compliance with naval engineering standards and project requirements. Apply knowledge of naval ship design principles, including general arrangement, outfit arrangement, survivability, and construction methods. Collaborate with senior stakeholders, decision makers, designers, and regulators to clearly articulate complex technical positions and resolve issues. Promote continuous professional development and share expertise within teams to strengthen Australia’s naval engineering capabilities. What You’ll Bring to Make An Impact Broad knowledge of naval ship design, including general arrangement, outfit arrangement, survivability characteristics and construction. Strong sense of urgency and commitment to meeting planned timelines. Skilled in engaging senior stakeholders, decision authorities, designers and regulators, with the ability to clearly articulate complex issues. Proven ability to collaborate and coordinate work across diverse stakeholder groups with shared values and a common purpose. Passionate about the naval sector, committed to professional development and knowledge sharing, with over three years’ experience in naval architecture and demonstrable expertise in ship design and build activities, supported by excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
