About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Recovery and Anaesthetics team as an Associate Nurse Educator, where you will be responsible for:

  • Integrating contemporary information and evidence with personal experience to support the decision making, innovative thinking and objective analysis that are expected at this level e.g. expert clinical knowledge underpins and informs the ability to support, lead and/or provide expert clinical care; develop and guide appropriate clinical education, and/or provide management activities that contribute to improve and optimise nursing/midwifery practice.
  • The provision of health education, counselling, and rehabilitation programs to improve health outcomes.
  • The assessment, planning, implementation, and co-ordination of care/appropriate service delivery options using advance knowledge, evidence, and own experience to achieve agreed patient care outcomes.
  • Contributing to competency improvement and analysis, measurement and evaluation of education and professional development.
  • Promoting and working within a nursing model of client centred care.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
  • Registered Nurse and/or Midwife with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience
  • Ability to prepare and undertake presentations of a high standard in a range of educational setting to both community and professional groups.
  • Demonstrated recent competence in Recovery and Anaesthetic nursing.
  • Proven ability to perform effectively under pressure and prioritise workloads.
