home_work On-site Posted 1 day ago About the role We are seeking an experienced and passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our dedicated team at Macquarie College Pre‑School in Elermore Vale, NSW. This full‑time role is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young children and contribute to the growth and development of our “exceeding” rated early learning centre. What you’ll be doing Developing and implementing engaging, age‑appropriate educational programs that align with the Early Years Learning Framework. Fostering a nurturing, safe, and stimulating learning environment that supports the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children. Observing and assessing children’s progress, and using this information to tailor your teaching approach. Building strong partnerships with parents and families to ensure a collaborative approach to children’s learning and wellbeing. Participating in professional development opportunities to continually enhance your teaching practice. Adhering to all relevant early childhood education regulations and guidelines. What we’re looking for Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field. Minimum 2 years’ experience as an Early Childhood Teacher, preferably in a similar setting. Experience working as a 2IC in an early childhood service; would be preferred. Demonstrated ability to create and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate learning programs for 3‑5 year old children. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Passion for nurturing and supporting the holistic development of young children. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Up‑to‑date knowledge of early childhood education best practices and regulations. Current teacher registration with NESA (NSW Education Standards Authority) is required. Current First Aid Certificate including CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training. What you will need to know A demonstrated understanding of: National Quality Framework (NQF); National Regulations; Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF); Child Protection and Mandatory Reporting; Workplace Health and Safety issues and practices; You will be required to work a range of shifts (8 hrs). Regular attendance at out‑of‑hours monthly staff meetings is compulsory (paid). Attendance at some of our out‑of‑hours events that support our campus and community. Our service is open from 7.30 am – 5.30 pm for 48 weeks of the year excluding public holidays. The full‑time position is for Monday to Friday working a 40‑hour week.
