Employment Type : Permanent Full Time Location : Mount Druitt Commencement Date : January 2026 In 2026 LWB Education will launch our first four campuses in Newcastle Grafton Mount Druitt and Dubbo each with a Teacher and Youth Worker for up to 15 students. As the Youth Worker you will support the wellbeing engagement and learning for young people in a safe inclusive and trauma‑informed environment. Responsibilities Support student learning and engagement through in‑class assistance wellbeing programs and individual learning plans. Foster a safe inclusive and trauma‑informed environment supporting cultural identity and diversity. Build positive relationships with young people and families to promote wellbeing and life skills. Collaborate with teachers teams and community agencies to provide integrated support. Participate in school routines activities and professional development. Maintain records and comply with child safety organisational policies and legal requirements. Skills and Experience Relevant qualifications in Youth Work or similar and / or equivalent experience e.g. cultural and community knowledge and experience Demonstrated experience engaging and supporting young people with complex needs their families and communities to foster young peoples engagement in learning High level communication skills including the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with young people families and communities Strong organisational skills with the ability to provide and support a range of wellbeing and engagement programs and activities. Current First Aid certification Current unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence and ability to drive 12 seat vehicles.
