We're seeking an Assistant Accountant to support our finance operations across our two exciting businesses, Andros Barker's Australia and the Barker's Foodstore & Eatery Australia. About the Role As our Assistant Accountant, you'll play a key role in supporting financial operations, including preparing financial statements, processing invoices, managing GST and BAS returns, and assisting with month-end and year-end accounts. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external auditors to ensure accuracy and compliance across all financial activities. Key Responsibilities Manage supplier invoices, payments, and bank reconciliations Reconcile sales and intercompany transactions Assist with budgeting, reporting, and tax returns (GST / BAS) Support month‑end and year‑end financial close Maintain fixed asset schedules and monthly reporting Collaborate with sales managers on trade spend analysis What You’ll Bring Diploma in Accounting or equivalent training Minimum 3 years of accounting experience Proficiency in Office 365 (especially Excel), MYOB, and XERO Solid understanding of P&L and balance sheets Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred Familiarity with ERP systems Why Join Us?
