About the role In a high performing team focussed on successfully planning, configuring, and responding to the challenges of the Integrated Water Supply Scheme (IWSS). Are you an experienced scheme controller, engineering associate or graduate engineer interested in stepping into a scheme planning role? Have you got experience in water scheme planning, configuration management and first principal problem solving? Are you interested in breaking into the exciting world of real time operational configuration management & Scheme maintenance planning? If so, then this Planner position is for you. Join the Corporation’s Integrated Operations team where you will apply your skills and experience in water scheme operations to plan across our major IWSS assets including desalination, groundwater, and Surface water, to ensure safe drinking water is supplied to our customers. This unique role represents an incredible opportunity to learn and develop your own knowledge to become a technical leader in water scheme operation, working with a wide variety of stakeholders and influencing business critical decisions on asset investment to find better solutions. The role is based in the Perth metropolitan area, with some ability to get out to see the assets. The working hours are 76 hours per fortnight, with the ability to join the duty supervisor roster for afterhours technical scheme support. Who are we? What you can expect with this role Perform the activities of a planner within the Corporation’s Integrated Operations business unit, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to enable the Annual Operating plan. Develop and maintain specialist knowledge in the operation and maintenance of the Integrated Water Supply Scheme including new and existing Desalination, Groundwater, and Surface water sources. Lead the development and implementation of long and short interval Operations and Maintenance plans to achieve the best outcome for the Corporation. Develop operational planning and decision support tools to optimise daily system operations. Your skills and experience For this role, we are looking for great talent with: Tertiary qualification (e.g., diploma, advanced diploma, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree) AND/OR Significant experience in planning and operation of water supply schemes within multifaceted organisations. Considerable experience in critical review of technical documentation / procedures and/or preparing of technical reports. Considerable experience in training, collaborating, and upskilling of others. Demonstrated relationship management, interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated computing skills and knowledge of applications including Microsoft suite and other water resource applications. Sound like a match?
