Employment Type Full Time – Permanent Position Classification Health Manager Level 5 Remuneration $166,678.00 - $186,448.00 per annum plus 12% superannuation and leave loading (salary equivalent to experience) Hours Per Week 40 Requisition ID REQ Title Associate Director, Education Strategy, Research and Evaluation Overview An exciting opportunity exists to join the Health Education and Training Institute (HETI) as an Associate Director, Education Strategy, Research and Evaluation in the Leadership Management Development and Educational Design (LMDED) Portfolio. In a senior HETI role, lead a high‑performing team in the design, development, delivery and evaluation of state‑wide strategic education and training programmes and initiatives. The Associate Director also leads HETI’s educational research including the research webinar series and the Health Education in Practice Journal (HEPJ), and the educational evaluation portfolio. The role is responsible for leading the design of innovative programmes, concept development for new contemporary clinical and non‑clinical education and training pathways including micro‑credentials and educational activities for NSW Health Academies. Location The role is based in Sydney at 1 Reserve Road, St Leonards in a modern, purpose‑built 5‑star rated green campus that is well serviced by public transport and has access to public parking. Required Statement of Claim You are also required to make a statement of claim against selection criteria 1‑5 as outlined in the application process above. Selection Criteria Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience working as a clinician (Registered Nurse and/or Midwife), and professional qualifications in adult learning or equivalent experience in senior leadership of education and training in the health sector. Excellent oral and written communication and consultation skills including demonstrated skills and experience in facilitation and presentations with sound knowledge of principles and application of adult learning. Demonstrated high level experience in design, development of curriculum and successful programme leadership within the Vocational Education, Tertiary Education and/or Health sector. Demonstrated experience in leading educational programme design and development including curriculum development and delivery of education using multi‑media with a strong track record of partnering and delivering on time, and within budget. Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary education approaches to instructional design methodology, learning needs analysis, content creation and delivery strategies to maximise learner engagement and learning outcomes. Demonstrated high level project management and organisational skills including project planning, contract management, resource allocation, compliance with governance and deadlines in line with established performance development frameworks and in line with established performance and service agreements. High level interpersonal skills and stakeholder management experience leading negotiations and building collaborative working relationships with diverse senior stakeholders for a mutually beneficial outcome in complex settings. Demonstrated experience in a senior leadership role, leading teams and managing performance.
