Finance plays a critical role in enabling smarter decisions on the ground, not just reporting on outcomes. This newly created role reflects a business in growth mode that is investing in leadership, capability and stronger connections between Finance and Operations. About the Role This is a role for someone who wants to be visible, present and involved. As Head of Operations Finance – APAC, you will work closely with the Operations Leadership Team, particularly the Operations Manager, acting as a true commercial partner. You will spend meaningful time in the office and on-site, understanding how the business really operates and where value is created or lost. This is not a remote or hands‑off finance role. You will be in the trenches with operational teams, helping translate operational realities into financial insight and turning financial strategy into practical, executable action. Your role is to be a strong and trusted bridge between Finance and Operations. The role is newly created during a period of growth and comes with the opportunity to shape how operations finance is done across the business. You will have 2–3 direct reports initially, with the scope to build out the team over time and design the function as the business continues to scale. Regular site engagement is a core requirement of the role, including at least monthly travel to manufacturing facilities across Queensland and interstate. You will report directly to the APAC CFO and sit on the Finance Leadership Team, with high visibility and influence across the wider APAC organisation. About You You are a senior operational finance leader who believes the best commercial insights come from being close to the business. You enjoy being on‑site, asking questions, walking the floor and building credibility with operations teams through understanding their challenges. You are comfortable challenging decisions when required and you do it constructively, with strong commercial logic and practical solutions. You value visibility, accountability and collaboration and you want to play a hands‑on role in shaping how Finance supports Operations. You will bring: Senior finance leadership experience within manufacturing, FMCG or operationally complex environments Strong understanding of manufacturing cost drivers including labour, yields, waste, OEE, inventory and capex Proven experience business partnering with Operations leaders A preference for working from the office and on‑site rather than at arm’s length Strong FP&A and commercial decision‑support capability CA or CPA qualification Comfort with regular site travel Leadership capability with the desire to build, develop and scale a high‑performing team This role will suit someone who wants to be part of the engine room of the business and have a tangible impact on performance.
