Bethany Catholic Primary School invites applications for a passionate, knowledgeable and experienced Literacy Coach & Instructional Leader (POL 3) to support whole-school instructional excellence and literacy improvement. The role will contribute to teacher capacity building, consistent pedagogical practice, and the strengthening of our knowledge-rich curriculum. A high level of expertise in the Science of Learning and Literacy is a requirement of this position. This position also provides future opportunities for leadership across our second campus, St Martha of Bethany , opening in 2027. Key Selection Criteria 1. Catholic Identity Commitment to the Catholic ethos and participation in the mission of the school 2. Instructional Expertise Deep knowledge of explicit instruction and structured literacy Ability to model and coach consistent, high-quality practice Experience with knowledge-rich curriculum design Ability to support teachers in planning for depth, coherence, and challenge Experience leading adult learning and building teacher capability Strong interpersonal, communication and relational skills 5.
