Location: New Castle Hills-Sydney (Hybrid) Permanent. Role Summary We are looking for an experienced Virtualization & Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with strong expertise in VMware virtualization, Nutanix NC2 on Azure/AWS, Windows & Linux administration, and enterprise storage technologies. The ideal candidate will design, deploy, optimize, and manage hybrid/cloud infrastructure environments for enterprise workloads. Key Responsibilities VMware Virtualization: Deploy, configure, and manage VMware vSphere, ESXi hosts, vCenter, vMotion, DRS, HA clusters, and vSAN. Perform VM provisioning, lifecycle management, snapshots, templates, and migration (cold/hot). Troubleshoot performance issues involving CPU, memory, storage I/O, and network latency. Implement and support VMware tools, vSphere Replication, and backup/DR integration. Nutanix NC2 (Hybrid Multicloud): Deploy and manage Nutanix NC2 clusters on AWS/Azure. Configure and optimize AHV, Prism Central/Element, Calm automation, and Xi Leap (DR). Perform cluster expansion, migration, upgrades, and capacity planning. Integrate NC2 solutions with enterprise AD, networking, RBAC, and security tools. Windows & Linux Administration: Windows – Manage Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, GPO. Patch management, PowerShell automation, and performance tuning. Troubleshoot OS-level issues, services, logs, and performance counters. Linux – Manage Red Hat/CentOS/Ubuntu servers. Perform user management, package installation, kernel updates, LVM, and system hardening. Troubleshoot boot issues, logs, services (systemd), and network problems. Shell scripting (Bash) and automation exposure (Ansible preferred). Storage Infrastructure: Experience with SAN/NAS technologies from vendors like NetApp, Dell EMC, HPE, Pure, etc. Configure storage provisioning (LUNs, volumes, shares), zoning, masking. Manage iSCSI, FC, NFS, SMB protocols. Monitor capacity, performance, replication, and DR solutions. Cloud & Infrastructure Operations: Hands‑on with Azure/AWS in compute, networking, storage, backup, monitoring. Perform patching, automation, hardening, and compliance checks. Maintain high availability and disaster recovery across hybrid environments. Document architecture, SOPs, and standard deployment patterns.
