Job Description WT in Geelong continues to grow with high-profile new engagements landing across a broad range of sectors and with major projects underway, we’re on the lookout for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the growing team. Working on projects in both Geelong and Melbourne, this role will perform various traditional quantity surveying functions including estimating, planning and cost management, cost monitoring, and accurate and timely financial reporting whilst exercising sound financial acumen with a key focus on proactively maximising value for our clients. Responsibilities Liaising with clients, architects and main contractors Identifying and facilitating new business opportunities Master-plan and feasibility budgets Cost checking of developing design Value engineering Tender evaluations and analysis Contract negotiations Cash flow projects Procurement Cost reporting Evaluation of variations Valuations Final account reporting Claims preparation, presentation, negotiation and settlement of claims Investment analysis Formulating and implementing benchmarking processes to improve the consistency, accuracy and time to prepare cost models and plans Qualifications Relevant tertiary qualification in any of the following areas : Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field Extensive experience in cost estimating and planning software / Cost X Experience managing a broad range of build projects RICS / AIQS accredited candidates will be highly regarded A thorough understanding of the total project life cycle, from conception, through to completion and post-project review Ideally 5+ years industry experience as a QS, with experience on projects in Aged Care, Health, Social Housing, Workspace fitout and Sports & Rec.
