Event Volunteers - Memory Walk & Jog for Dementia Australia - Illawarra NSW Sunday 21 March 2026 - A family-friendly, fun-filled morning awaits. No special skills, experience, or training required. All you need is your presence and enthusiasm. Volunteer tasks may include directing and encouraging participants around the course, selling merchandise, and handing out participant packs. There is also a role for keen bike riders who want to support the event on wheels. On the morning of the event we will provide a full briefing so you can learn about the day’s activities, understand your assigned tasks, and meet your fellow volunteers and the Memory Walk & Jog event team. Past volunteers have described their experience as extremely enjoyable and said their spirits were lifted by being in the company of like-minded people. It’s no wonder so many return to volunteer with us year after year. By supporting Dementia Australia and the Memory Walk, you’ll be helping raise awareness and vital funding for dementia research, services, and development. If this sounds like something you’d enjoy, we’d love to hear from you. Register your expression of interest and our volunteer coordination team will get you started. We also encourage you to invite your family, friends, and colleagues to join you. Volunteers aged 12-17 are welcome, provided they attend with a parent or guardian. Both the young person and their accompanying adult must register to volunteer. Category: Community Services Commitment: One off - a few hours Type Of Work: Fundraising & Events, Retail & Sales, Sport & Physical Activity Time Required: We need volunteers on the day from 6:45 a.m. to approximately midday in various roles. Training: Information will be emailed to volunteers in the week before the event. We will provide a briefing in the morning of the event so you can learn all about the morning ahead and the tasks assigned to you and meet your fellow volunteers and the Memory Walk & Jog event team members for the day. #J-18808-Ljbffr
