Job no: Work type: Permanent Full Time Location: NT - Darwin Categories: Truck Driver Northline are on the lookout for MC Drivers to join our Darwin team. Ideally, you will enjoy working in a small team, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and have strong multi-tasking skills. We currently have permanent full-time positions available, Monday to Friday, commencing from approx. 6/7am. As an experienced MC Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of freight to Northline’s customers as well as loading and unloading a variety of freight. Key Responsibilities: Accurate and timely delivery of customer’s freight; Ensure freight and deliveries match up and are consistent with current paperwork; Constant communication with the depot (manager/supervisor); Maintaining a truck log to align with current state legislation; Operating a forklift; Manual handling of freight and curtain gates. As a successful candidate you will: Hold a current and valid MC Licence; Hold a current Forklift Licence (LF); Be physically fit to handle repetitive lifting of freight/opening and closing of curtains; Transport industry experience with general freight carriers is highly regarded; Experience working in physically demanding conditions and fast-paced environment; An awareness of Load Restraint and Dangerous Goods will be highly regarded.
