Responsibilities Regularly patrol buildings, grounds, and parking lots. Monitor security cameras and alarm systems. Perform routine checks of doors, windows, and gates to ensure they are secure. Control access to facilities. Issue and monitor access badges for staff and visitors. Enforce policies regarding building entry and access. Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents such as accidents, medical emergencies, and disturbances. Provide first aid or CPR if trained and necessary. Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services when required. Write detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and suspicious behavior. Escort staff or visitors upon request, especially during late hours. Assist in the implementation of emergency plans and procedures. Identify potential security risks and recommend improvements. Build positive relationships with staff and visitors. Promote a sense of safety and security within the campus community. Skills and Experience Current Queensland Security License. Current First Aid Certificate. Proven experience in a Corporate or Education environment highly preferred. Excellent situational awareness and observation skills. Excellent level of self‑presentation and grooming standards. A positive and proactive approach to day‑to‑day situations. Demonstrated experience in conflict resolution and customer service. Evening & weekend availability. Strong written communication skills, including incident report writing. Ability to time‑manage and work in a high‑paced team environment. High attention to detail.
