Compassionate Connector Volunteer Hornsby area - A Proveda Initiative About this opportunity: Have you ever thought about becoming a Volunteer? Do you live in the Northern Sydney region i.e. North Shore, Hornsby, Ryde, Northern Beaches areas? Proveda, a not-for-profit community organisation, believes that kindness and community will make a difference in many people's lives. This program is designed to connect volunteers with people in the community who are over 65 living with a life changing diagnosis. The aim is to build their social and practical networks, ultimately enabling them to remain at home in the Community for longer. Benefits: There are many benefits to becoming a Proveda Compassionate Connector Volunteer. Our current Volunteers get great satisfaction from supporting people in their local area that otherwise would be without connection or support. Proveda strives to ensure that Volunteers are supported, trained and valued as part of our Community Volunteer team. Training is provided and social events throughout the year give you the opportunity to meet other Volunteers in your community. Volunteers also receive ongoing support throughout the year from our dedicated Program Coordinator which enables the Volunteer to build confidence to deliver expert social care and support. Additional requirements: Completion of the complimentary Connector Training Program (dates run throughout the year) followed by a Volunteer onboarding process, which includes a free Police Check. Time Required: Flexible to suit your schedule. Training: Full complimentary Compassionate Connector training is provided (dates run throughout the year).
