Position Luxury Aircraft Detailer Location Sydney, Australia Job Description This is a role well suited to people who enjoy an exciting, busy environment and doing hands‑on work. If you have a passion for detailing, plus an interest in aviation & working on state‑of‑the‑art aircraft, you’ll absolutely love it It is a unique opportunity for an experienced detailer (possibly automotive or marine) to apply their skills to a new and exciting challenge. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our clients' aircraft are maintained to the highest standards, performing thorough cleaning and detailing tasks on various aircraft, including business jets, turboprops, and helicopters. Day‑to‑day tasks will include washing and detailing aircraft exteriors, polishing and applying protective coatings to paintwork and metalwork, cleaning, and detailing aircraft interiors. You will work closely with our small team of aviation professionals to deliver outstanding results. Exceptional customer service and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders is essential. Tailored on‑the‑job training will be provided to the successful candidate. This role is full time, 38 hours per week. Hours of work and start/finish times will vary depending on the requirements of individual jobs; almost all work will occur on weekdays between 7 am – 5 pm, with very occasional weekend work. Most work will be at Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport (Mascot), with some work at Bankstown Airport. Responsibilities Utilize specialised tools, equipment, and cleaning agents to conduct comprehensive interior and exterior cleaning of private aircraft, including cabin, cockpit, windows, and exterior surfaces, ensuring a pristine appearance. Wash, clean and detail aircraft exteriors. Operate polishing and buffing machines to polish aircraft components, metal work and paintwork. Apply protective coatings. Vacuum, shampoo, and sanitize aircraft carpet. Thoroughly clean and detail interior upholstery, leather, woodwork and other interior components. Follow established safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Collaborate with other team members to meet project deadlines and achieve exceptional quality standards. Effectively communicate with customers and stakeholders to plan, understand job requirements and deliver outstanding customer service. Requirements 2+ years experience as an automotive, marine or aircraft detailer, highly preferred. Excellent attention to detail and a meticulous nature that enables you to deliver high‑quality results. Physical stamina to perform manual tasks, operate polishing equipment and work in confined spaces and heights for extended periods. High level of physical fitness required to safely perform manual tasks and work at heights for extended periods. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Flexibility to work occasional weekends, as required. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Able to pass a police check in order to obtain an ASIC (Aviation Security ID Card). Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively to meet project deadlines. Applicants must have ongoing full‑time Australian work rights.
