This position is a combination of part permanent EFT and part long service leave cover and this is open to negotiation. The position will be based at our Clare Moore Building, Werribee Mercy Hospital. This 54 bed adult acute psychiatrist inpatient unit is very well supported with six consultant psychiatrists and an ever-growing JMO workforce and robust registrar training program. MMH&WS covers Australia's most diverse and growing population with a commitment to quality patient centred care and recovery orientated practice making this position both challenging and rewarding. What you'll bring You're resilient, compassionate and have a whole lot of heart. Most importantly, you are committed to delivering exceptional patient-centred care. Qualifications Registration with the Australian Medical Board (AHPRA) Extensive experience in working effectively with consumers who have psychosocial mental health needs Experience in the identification and management of a range of mental health issues including psychosis, anxiety, depression, complex post-traumatic stress disorder and risk issues Autonomy, organisational skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or (or working towards) To thrive in this role, you will have: Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve. A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management. The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment. Requirements A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
