As carpentry leading hand you will be responsible for running a carpentry team to carry out high quality works. Suitable applicants will be very reliable, be self-motivated with the ability to carry out physically demanding work. Sponsorship available for the right applicant. Duties: Supervise and coordinate carpentry activities on residential and commercial construction projects. Lead a team of carpenters, laborers, and subcontractors, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to a high standard. Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan and execute carpentry tasks accurately. Coordinate with project managers to schedule work, allocate resources, and meet project deadlines. Provide hands‑on carpentry expertise, including framing, roofing, siding, and finishing work, as needed. Train and mentor junior carpenters and apprentices, fostering their skill development and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Monitor and enforce compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards. Oversee the procurement of materials and tools required for carpentry work, ensuring cost‑effective and timely delivery. Conduct regular inspections of work sites to identify hazards, maintain cleanliness, and ensure adherence to safety protocols. Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, to resolve issues and ensure project success. Provide operational direction, leadership, and accountability in the field and office.
