Senior Infrastructure Engineer – Australia at Traild Traild is a dynamic, fast‑growing SaaS company that streamlines, automates, and protects Accounts Payable. Our specialised software integrates with leading ERP systems such as SYSPRO, Acumatica, MYOB and IFS to help clients digitise and scale their operations with automation and security at the core. This role is based in Prahran, Victoria, Australia, with flexible remote and hybrid options. You will own the design, build and maintenance of our global infrastructure, ensuring security, scalability, networking and reliability across multiple cloud regions. Responsibilities Design, implement and scale infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Build and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform. Operate Cloud Run and Kubernetes in production at scale. Embed security best practices across infrastructure and deployments. Architect and manage cloud networking (VPCs, load balancers, service meshes, firewalls, routing). Collaborate with product teams to design secure, scalable microservices and event‑driven architectures. Drive performance, resilience and cost‑optimisation initiatives. Qualifications Strong expertise in GCP, Terraform, Cloud Run and Kubernetes. Proficiency in Python for automation, tooling and operational workflows. Deep understanding of cloud networking and distributed systems. Strong grounding in cloud security principles, identity management and compliance. Collaborative team player with a growth‑oriented mindset. Preference for candidates in the Melbourne area for in‑person brainstorming. Nice to Have Knowledge of observability tooling (logging, monitoring, alerting). Experience with CI/CD pipelines. Experience with Linux. Background supporting production‑grade SaaS platforms.
