Ensuring safe & efficient shunting activities Conduct pre-departure and en-route inspections to ensure train integrity Monitor and respond to operational conditions, signalling systemsand communication protocols Complete required documentation and reporting accurately and on time Work collaboratively with network control, maintenance, and yard operations teams Uphold all safety, fatigue management, and environmental requirement Commitment to safety in the workplace Ensure compliance with all of SCT’s OHS policies, procedures and applicable state and federal legislation A strong customer focus orientation Be able to work in a team environment and in some cases unsupervised Desired Skills and Experience Desired Skills and Experience The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate: Certificate IV in Train Driving Good interpersonal and communication skills Current Track Access Permit (TAP) Valid C Class Driver’s License A strong commitment to safety. Be reasonably fit and agile to meet the demands of the job. All applicants please note: The successful candidate will be required to complete a full Pre-Employment CAT1 medical, including drug and alcohol screening, and an Australian Federal Police check prior to commencement.
