Governance Support Officer

The Opportunity Melton City Council is seeking a successful candidate to join our fast paced, exciting, and friendly Governance team.
You will be providing administrative support across the governance, legal, integrity and risk and compliance functions.
If you have great attention to detail, are a team player, and have an interest in all things Governance – we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities Provide general administrative support within the broader Governance Unit, including filing, data entry, document review, and word processes.
Maintain accurate records and databases, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
Deliver a high standard of customer service, including responding to enquiries in a friendly and professional manner.
Ensure compliance with Council policies and procedures.
Assisting with events led by the Business Unit including school visits and Citizenship Ceremonies.

About you To be successful in this role you will have the following: Post-secondary qualification in administration (below diploma level) plus some experience in an administrative role.
Demonstrated experience in the operation of a variety of Windows based applications and databases.
Adapt to new situations, showing initiative in responding to challenging and competing work tasks Current valid Victorian Driver's Licence.
