Parish Administration Manager – Cathedral Parish Permanent Full-time Position Location: Cathedral Parish Office, Bathurst Immediate start available by negotiation Do you bring exceptional organisational, financial, and administrative skills, along with a commitment to service in a values-based organisation? The Catholic Diocese of Bathurst is seeking a Parish Administration Manager to support the Cathedral Parish community. This role plays a vital part in the day-to-day operations of the Cathedral and Blayney Parishes, overseeing administration, finance, property, compliance, and communication, while working closely with clergy, parishioners, and volunteers. This is a rare opportunity to contribute your expertise in a meaningful role supporting the Church’s mission and ministries in the central west of NSW. About the role The Parish Administration Manager provides operational and administrative support for the Cathedral and Blayney Parishes on behalf of the Dean of the Cathedral. The position coordinates parish communication, administration, financial and bookkeeping processes, property management, compliance, and volunteer support to ensure smooth and effective parish operations. Your key responsibilities will include: Welcoming visitors and responding to enquiries with warmth and professionalism Managing parish communications, including weekly bulletins, announcements, and updates via online and printed platforms Overseeing parish administration, maintaining records, registers, and filing systems Preparing and reconciling financial accounts, processing invoices, and supporting planned giving programs Supporting compliance with diocesan policies, WHS, safeguarding, and legal obligations Coordinating contractors and property maintenance to ensure parish facilities are safe and functional Providing administrative support to the Parish Priest, Parish Council, and Finance Committee Managing volunteers and supporting parish events and liturgical celebrations A copy of the position description can be requested by contacting HR at*******@bth.catholic.edu.au. These volunteer roles may include: Those involved in ministry to aged care facilities (noting this may sometimes be arranged by the facility) Those bringing Holy Communion to the sick or housebound Those involved in regular ministry with vulnerable adults Members of Finance Councils, given their oversight and governance responsibilities Volunteers in child-related roles must hold a valid WWCC in line with NSW legislation.
