Position: Maintenance Employee/Plant Operator Job Type: Full Time -Fortnightly RDOs Tenure: Permanent Location: St Arnaud Package: 68,320.98 – $72,593.16 p.a. You’ll be: Operating plant and equipment for road and infrastructure works Keeping our community spaces safe, tidy, and in top condition Helping deliver projects that enhance how we live, move, and connect Carrying out routine maintenance, basic repairs, and inspections Collaborating with a supportive and experienced crew Work hours you’ll love: Monday–Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM Fridays: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM one week, RDO the next. What We’re Looking For If you’re a reliable team player who brings energy, care, and common sense to every job, you’ll fit right in. Ideally, you’ll also have: Experience in civil works or outdoor maintenance A valid Victorian Driver’s Licence (MR licence highly desirable) A current Construction Induction White Card (or equivalent) Competency with plant operation, or willingness to learn A genuine commitment to safety and teamwork Desired Skills and Experience Qualifications and experience Satisfactory completion of Certificate III in Civil Construction or other relevant qualifications, or relevant experience/on-the-job training commensurate with the requirements of the role. Hold a medium rigid drivers’ licence, as a minimum. Hold a Construction Induction White Card, or equivalent. Experience and proficiency in the safe and competent operation in a range of light, medium and heavy-sized plant, with relevant licences and certifications. Selection criteria Demonstrated ability to safely operate, maintain and complete running repairs on a range of plant and equipment, with required certification where applicable. Understanding of methods and techniques required in road maintenance, traffic management and workplace safety. Ability to understand and apply quality control processes to maintain standards in a construction/manufacturing environment. Ability to accurately complete basic administration tasks, check lists and reports, and to navigate software applications competently.
