We're seeking an experienced and passionate educator to join our leadership team as Curriculum Leader – Science at Good Shepherd Catholic College, Mount Isa. In this pivotal role, you'll lead the development and delivery of high‑quality Science programs that engage students, inspire curiosity, and build a lifelong love of learning. Working closely with the Deputy Principal – Teaching and Learning, you'll oversee the coordination of curriculum, assessment and reporting within the Science faculty, ensuring alignment with national, state and diocesan requirements. Through strong pedagogical leadership and thoughtful mentoring, you'll guide and support teachers to deliver innovative, evidence‑based learning experiences that enhance student achievement and engagement. You'll draw on data and reflective practice to inform decisions, identify opportunities for improvement and celebrate success. With a focus on collaboration and professional growth, you'll build a culture of learning and shared purpose within your team – one that embraces contemporary practice, encourages innovation, and supports the holistic development of every student. Guided by Catholic values, you'll demonstrate authentic leadership that nurtures faith, compassion and community. Your ability to model integrity, foster relationships and create an inclusive, supportive environment will be key to the ongoing success of both students and staff. To thrive in this role, you will be a registered teacher with the Queensland College of Teachers and bring extensive classroom experience in Science, together with a deep understanding of the Australian Curriculum and QCAA requirements. You'll pair that professional credibility with a proven ability to lead and mentor others, build collaborative teams and translate data into meaningful improvement.
