As the business grows, they are looking to add to the team with this critical Ballarat based operational role. Responsibilities Coordinate daily operational activities under the direction of the Operations Manager Manage the day‑to‑day yard operation and all the equipment Ensure the yard remains organised, clean and tidy Focus on maintaining a safe working environment Conduct regular audits to verify adherence to quality standards and operational guidelines Assist with budgets, track expenses, and identify cost‑saving opportunities Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring timely replenishment and accuracy Application and management of NHVR & State permits for oversize loads Management of 3rd party equipment for projects Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies Compliance management of ancillary equipment This role is all about active contribution; such an attitude will be everything I will give preference to candidates who demonstrate a good level of energy, enthusiasm, clear communication with all stakeholders, operate autonomously, and are self‑motivated and willing to go the extra mile to achieve results. Due to the requirements of the role, it will be expected that the successful candidate will have at least 5 years practical yard management experience in heavy transport, crane operations, or a large‑scale logistics environment, supported by specific technical training in the operations function.
