What you will be doing in this role As the Nursing Unit Manager (NUM) for the Jones Endoscopy and Procedure Centre which is part of the Sydney Adventist Hospital you will be entrusted with the responsibility of leading a compassionate and skilled team ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety. Your role will be at the heart of our efforts to create an environment where both patients and staff thrive. Youll guide a dedicated group of nursing and support staff providing the leadership and support they need to deliver exceptional care in line with our Mission and values. Your focus on building strong collaborative relationships with patients team members and key stakeholders will be essential to the success of the unit. In this leadership role youll also oversee the operational and financial performance of the department. This includes managing budgets controlling costs and identifying opportunities for improved efficiency all while ensuring the team is appropriately staffed and supported. You will foster a positive workplace culture that encourages continuous learning and professional growth while also ensuring that all staff are equipped with the skills and resources they need to provide the best possible care. Full Australian working rights and current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse. High level of clinical knowledge with experience in a procedural or endoscopy environment ensuring the delivery of safe high‑quality patient care. Demonstrated management experience in a similar procedural setting with a proven ability to lead inspire and support a multidisciplinary team. Commitment to continuous learning with the passion for staying up‑to‑date with the latest clinical practices and healthcare innovations. Tertiary qualification in management business or healthcare or actively working towards one to support your leadership and operational responsibilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills enabling you to engage effectively with patients staff and stakeholders while fostering a positive and collaborative team culture. A solutions-oriented approach to problem‑solving with the ability to manage budgets resources and team performance while continuously seeking ways to improve operational efficiency and patient outcomes.
