Depot Manager

Lead our largest depot at the heart of a growing regional freight network. Bulk Group is looking for an experienced, hands‑on Depot Manager to take the reins at our Grafton depot – the largest and busiest site in our Bulk Regional Express NSW network. With over 40 team members on‑site, including drivers, dock hands, forklift operators, and admin support staff, you’ll play a key role in leading daily operations, driving performance, and ensuring time‑critical freight is delivered safely and on time across the region. This is a high‑impact leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast‑moving environment, enjoys being on the floor with their team, and knows how to run a high‑volume depot from the ground up. What you’ll be doing Leading depot operations from linehaul receival to last‑mile delivery. Overseeing morning sort, scanning, route planning, and dispatch. Managing a large cross‑functional team across freight, drivers and depot staff. Driving compliance standards (WHS, CoR, NHVR) and leading toolbox talks. Managing rosters, site performance metrics (DIFOT, scan compliance, cost‑per‑drop), and incident follow‑ups. Building strong relationships with customers and resolving service issues quickly. What you’ll need Proven leadership experience in transport, depot, or logistics operations. A confident, hands‑on style with the ability to inspire and support your team. Solid knowledge of last‑mile delivery, route planning, and driver coordination. Strong understanding of compliance requirements (CoR, NHVR, WHS).
