An excellent opportunity is available for a Research Officer to join the ACRF Cancer Biology and Stem Cells division at

Australia's pre-eminent biomedical research institute.About the positionThe role of Research Officer is to contribute to the research effort and further develop their research expertise through the pursuit of defined projects within the research program to which they are appointed. The Research Officer will focus on understanding the molecular mechanisms that underpin cancer initiation and progression. The position will involve breast cancer biology, developing mouse models of tumour development, establishment of tissue assays and use of multimodal molecular technologies. Research Officers are expected to be self-motivated and to operate with minimal supervision under the general direction of the Laboratory Head.Selection CriteriaAt least 2 years of relevant work experienceAn excellent academic record and achievementsDemonstrated ability and potential for excellence and productivity in researchResearch experience that has resulted in publications, conference papers or reportsProven interpersonal and collaborative skills in achieving research outcomesTerms of appointmentThis position is available for two years in a full-time capacity . Salary is RE A6 - RE A8 ($ 101,039

- $ 108,453 ).
