Senior Finance Manager

Are you a detail-oriented finance professional with a passion for data-driven insights? Look no further We’re seeking a Senior Finance Manager to join our team.
As a key member of our Finance Team , your mission will be to ensure accurate and insightful financial and management reporting. Additionally, you’ll drive enhancements in our finance systems, streamline processes, and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to create robust reports to meet both internal and external requirements.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Management Reporting
Manage the end of month reporting processPrepare the monthly Board report, updating the reporting model to meet the Board requirements and provide analysis & insight into performance and financial positionPrepare a monthly report of performance by division to be submitted and presented to the Executive Leadership TeamProvide information to support the Finance Business Partners deliver monthly reporting at a divisional, group and team levelUpload the annual budget and quarterly forecast and prepare reporting to Key stakeholdersManage the reporting for transformation projects and initiativesMaintain the chart of accounts and reporting codes to the QTC organisational structure and reporting requirementsDevelop reporting to provide insight and meet the needs of external and internal stakeholdersFinancial Reporting
Complete quarterly and end of financial year reporting to Queensland TreasuryComplete disclosures as part of the statutory reporting requirements for QTCSystem& Data
Work with our managed service provider and Finance system developers to address system issues or limitationsWork with our Vendor Management team to maintain vendor account plan, assess and provide performance feedback to managed service provider through established forumsIdentify improvements and automation opportunities that drive efficiencies in finance processes and workflowsIdentify workflows to improve Internal controls on finance processesMaintain the mapping of data from Treasury Management system to ensure it is complete and accurate, and supports our reporting requirementsPerform testing for upgrades to QTC’s finance and treasury management systemsIdentify opportunities to improve the Finance dataset to enhance reportingQualifications
Bachelors Degree in Commerce, Business, Accounting or equivalentCA/CPA/CIMA or equivalentCompetencies
Technical Competencies
Effective communication (oral, written and presentation) and interpersonal skills, able to adapt style to cater for your audienceKnowledge and application of accounting standards.Analytical skills to be able to review and explain financial information in a clear and comprehensible manner.Understanding of financial risks, processes, and controls.System and technical knowledge to identify process improvements and implement changePower BI report and dashboard reportingBehavioural Competencies
