Quality and Safety Project Manager The closing date is 26 November 2025 As a Quality and Safety Projects Manager, you would have a crucial role in delivering Projects across CUH and the campus, supporting the Chief Nurse and Chief Medical Officers portfolios. You would be responsible for supporting and managing the delivery of projects at CUH under the direction of the Chief Nurse that are critical in enabling the organisation to meet its aims and vision and deliver its strategy. The projects may be individual projects, stages of a larger project or work streams of a programme with dependencies on other projects being led by other teams within the Trust. An expert facilitator, you will play a key role in identifying risks and issues and operate as a skilled negotiator and 'unblocker' to drive progress towards delivery. You will be responsive to the changing needs of the health and care system. The role is crucial for creating and maintaining focus, enthusiasm and momentum. Person Specification Qualifications Educated to Masters level or demonstrable equivalent level of knowledge Evidence of Project Management training or sufficient experience that demonstrates equivalent level of knowledge Evidence of continuous professional development Experience Demonstrable experience of developing project strategies Extensive experience of managing large scale complex programmes and projects using recognised methodology (e.g. Prince 2) and tracking and monitoring their implementation Experience of the identification and management of risks, issues and dependencies Experience of developing performance indicators to monitor project and programme delivery Experience of change management with proven negotiating and influencing skills both internally and externally Experience of project budgets; knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation Experience of benefits realisation Experience of producing business cases Experience of developing documents and policies Evidence of working with multi-disciplinary staff across a diverse professional organisation to specify solutions to support the successful delivery of projects Considerable experience of project and programme management Knowledge Demonstrable knowledge of developing project strategies Knowledge of recognised methodology (e.g. Prince 2) Knowledge of change management methodologies Knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation Knowledge of business cases production methodology Considerable knowledge of project and programme management Skills Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills including facilitation and obtaining, providing and presenting information Ability to think clearly, solve or pre-empt problems, reach decisions, prioritise and recommend appropriate action through the assessment of relevant information Ability to engage others in strategy and planning Negotiation and diplomacy skills Ability to prepare and present reports to detailed specifications for Trust Board and others as requested Ability to inspire confidence and trust, command respect and create a sense of community in the team Ability to adapt during periods of change Ability to work autonomously Understanding of information governance Advanced knowledge of ICT (including Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and project management tools Additional Requirements The ability to understand and behave at all times, towards patients, visitors and colleagues according to the Trust values of Safe, Kind, Excellent.
