The Gist If you’re the type who likes getting stuck in, fixing things, and figuring stuff out for yourself, this one’s for you. At Nobles , we deal in serious lifting and rigging gear — cranes, hoists, ropes, sheaves — all the heavy-duty kit that keeps industry moving safely. You’ll be inspecting, installing, testing, and maintaining it across LNG projects and offshore work or heading out bush to Tennant Creek or Alice Springs. We'll invest and train you up till the time when are able to back your own skills and get the job done without needing someone looking over your shoulder. Just proper hands-on work and plenty of variety. What You’ll Be Doing Inspecting, maintaining, and installing lifting and rigging gear Working on cranes, hoists, ropes, sheaves, and mechanical components Testing, tagging, and proof loading lifting gear Certified and height safety inspections (harnesses, lanyards, etc.) Designing or repairing custom lifting gear and solutions Fault finding and problem-solving on-site — thinking on your feet when things get tricky Travelling to remote and offshore sites when needed What You Bring Mechanical aptitude — you’re the sort who can look at something and figure out how it works Experience in fitting, mechanical, or engineering-type roles a big plus Happy working solo — confident to make calls, test, and troubleshoot safely EWP & Working at Heights tickets (bonus if you’ve got Dogging/Rigging tickets too) A sharp eye for safety — because cutting corners isn’t our thing Willingness to travel and take on a challenge What You’ll Get Good pay – hourly rate + OT + site allowances where applicable Training and development – we’ll keep you skilled up and certified Career progression – long-term opportunities across the Nobles and Tasmea Group We’ve got your back – you might work solo, but you’re never on your own Be careful - Don’t provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.
