About the Role The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development is seeking a Director of Agriculture and Sector Strategy to provide executive direction and professional leadership to a taskforce dedicated to the sustainable growth within the sector. In this capacity, you will offer high‑level advice to the Deputy Secretary of Agriculture and Biosecurity and the Executive Director of Agriculture, ensuring that our strategy aligns with government priorities and delivers measurable outcomes. Your responsibilities will include providing informed, evidence‑based strategic advice, critically analysing complex issues within the sector, and fostering collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to develop whole‑of‑government solutions. In this role you will lead and develop a skilled and flexible team while managing resources effectively to promote a productive work environment that meets our business priorities and commitments.
