Overview Part Time or Full Time Positions available. We are a small private, family-owned property located in Orange, NSW. We are looking for a carer who is passionate about working with animals of all shapes, sizes and ages. The successful applicant would be involved in the day-to-day care of dogs, cats & birds. There may also be the opportunity to expand into care of horses, goats and cattle for the right person but not essential. Some weekend and public holiday work will be required. Responsibilities Feeding animals Bathing and grooming animals Cleaning animal waste Cleaning yards and enclosures Exercising animals Loving our animals like they are your own Qualifications Australian citizenship is required for this position. Animal Handling Skills – comfortable handling dogs of all sizes, cats (including medicating and cleaning wounds). Experience handling birds is desirable but not essential as long as you have a willingness to learn. Previous experience in a similar professional role, appropriate training or complex animal care is advantageous. Strong Work Ethic – physically fit and healthy, able to walk and lift. Self‑motivated and takes pride in work. Able to deal with fluctuating workloads and complete tasks on time. Eye for detail – sharp attention to detail to ensure animal health and wellbeing, maintaining high standards of hygiene. Reliable – punctual and dependable attendance. Friendly & energetic – works within a small close team with other workers and family members. Drivers licence and own transport. Previous experience in grooming (bathing, brushing, clipping) is desirable. Compensation Well above award wage offered for the right candidate. Rates start from $27.50/hr and increase depending on experience up to $35/hr. Also includes all standard inclusions such as leave accruals and superannuation contributions.
