We are partnering with a large NFP organisation that provides crucial services to the community, to recruit an Investment Analyst for a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. This role offers the rare opportunity to contribute to high‑value strategic initiatives that directly support community outcomes across Queensland. The Opportunity Reporting to the CFO, you will play a key role in evaluating strategic investments, supporting M&A activity, driving long‑term financial planning, and delivering insights that shape enterprise decisions. You will work closely with executives, operational leaders, and external partners on initiatives that strengthen financial performance and advance the organisation’s mission. Key Responsibilities Analyse business cases using NPV, IRR, ROI, break‑even analysis, sensitivity testing and 5‑year scenario modelling Develop, maintain and enhance long‑term forecasting frameworks, including capital and cost‑allocation models Assess major strategic opportunities, including financial modelling, valuations, and due diligence Undertake commercial viability assessments and partner with internal/external stakeholders to support negotiations Contribute to financial turnaround initiatives, cost efficiency programmes and strategic restructuring Prepare high‑quality investment papers, Board reports, Steer‑Co updates and executive briefing notes Provide actionable insights that support capital allocation, pricing decisions, and organisational strategy Build trusted relationships across the organisation, acting as a commercial and financial business partner Monitor market trends, risks and financial performance to inform strategic decision‑making About You You will bring a blend of technical financial capability, commercial acumen and strong communication skills.
