Senior Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our growing Perth-based team. Based at our West Perth head office, you will be a key contributor in compiling tenders and proposals across diverse civil projects, including earthworks, roads, pipelines, concrete works, and other infrastructure packages. Working both independently and alongside our Estimating Team, you will be responsible for producing accurate first-principal cost estimates, preparing high-quality submissions, and supporting the successful delivery of major tenders, proposals, and EOIs. Key Responsibilities Completedetailed quantity take-offs and prepare BOQs. Analyselabour, plant, materials, and subcontractor inputs to ensure competitivepricing. Validaterates and assumptions using historical data and market benchmarking. Preparecompliant, high-quality tender submissions, including pricing schedules andnon-price criteria. Developconstruction methodologies, staging, and preliminary programs. Ensureall work aligns with client specifications, scope, and tender requirements. Reviewdrawings, specifications, and contract documents to identify scope gaps, risks,and clarifications. PrepareRFIs and ensure technical and commercial issues are resolved prior tosubmission. Contribute to risk reviews, allowances, and value-engineering options. Sourceand analyse subcontractor and supplier pricing for accuracy and scope coverage. Liaisewith internal teams to ensure alignment between estimate and delivery strategy. Maintainstrong supplier relationships to support competitive and reliable pricing. Tender Handover & Transition to Delivery Preparecomprehensive tender handover packs outlining pricing, assumptions, risks,subcontractor selections, and methodology. Leadhandover meetings ensuring project teams understand scope, pricing logic, anddelivery requirements. Supportpre-contracts and delivery teams during award, early procurement, andmobilisation. Time Management & Technical Discipline Managecompeting priorities to meet tight tender deadlines. Maintainestimating systems, cost databases, and version control. Contribute to continuous improvement in estimating accuracy and submissionquality. Skills, Qualifications & Requirements Minimum 7 years’ experience in the Australian civil construction industry, with at least 5 years as an Estimator. Proven experience across civil, bulk earthworks, roads, pipelines, concrete, and non-process infrastructure works. Proven experience managing successful tenders up to $40 million across varied clients and sectors. Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or equivalent experience. Proficiency in scheduling software (MS Project and/or P6). Experience with estimating software (HeavyBid, Expert Estimation, Candy, or similar). Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, AGTEK or 12D software, On-Screen Takeoff (or similar) highly desirable. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities.
