BB Disability and Health Services – Dapto NSW We are looking for a motivated and driven Team Coordinator to lead and support our team. This role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of Supported Independent Living (SIL) services for participants in the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). This includes managing staff, ensuring compliance with NDIS standards, and coordinating support to meet individual participant goals and needs in a person-centered way. The coordinator also focuses on staff development, performance management, and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment. We kindly draw your attention to our website: Formal Qualifications Essential: ACertificate IV in Disability or a Certificate IV in Mental Health (or a related community services field) is often required or highly regarded. Highly Regarded: A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as: Social Work Occupational Therapy or other Allied Health fields Nursing Community Services / Human Services Relevant experience can sometimes be considered in lieu of a specific degree, but a qualification in a relevant discipline is preferred. Key Responsibilities Team management: Leading, mentoring, and supervising disability support workers to ensure high-quality, person-centered care. Operational oversight: Coordinating daily operations, including managing rosters and ensuring the provision of services for participants living in shared SIL housing. Quality and compliance: Ensuring services meet NDIS Practice Standards, regulatory requirements, and statutory obligations. Participant support: Ensuring individual needs met, and participants are supported to work toward their NDIS goals. Staff development: Providing ongoing training, guidance, and performance management for support workers. Workplace culture: Fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-quality working environment. Essential Experience & Skills Leadership Experience: Prior experience in a leadership, supervisory, or team management role within the disability or community services sector is crucial. Hands-on Experience: Demonstrated experience in providing direct support to individuals with disabilities, especially those with complex needs, is essential. NDIS Knowledge: A strong, comprehensive understanding of the NDIS framework, including the NDIS Practice Standards, Code of Conduct, and specific SIL guidelines and funding. Required skills and experience Leadership experience within a Supported Independent Living environment. Strong understanding of NDIS guidelines and practice standards. Experience with staff management, including rostering and performance management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients, families, and stakeholders. A focus on continuous improvement and quality service delivery. Mandatory Compliance and Checks NDIS Worker Screening Clearance: A mandatory check to ensure safety when working with vulnerable people. National Police Certificate: Must be current (usually issued within the last two years). Working with Children Check (WWCC): Required if your role involves working with children, which is common in SIL environments. Current Driver's Licence: Essential as the role involves managing multiple sites or transporting participants. NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate: Completion of this free, mandatory online course. First Aid Certificate: A current First Aid and/or CPR certificate is often required.
