We care about YOU Access counselling, wellbeing services, legal & financial assistance About The Role As an Admin/Business Office Clerk, you are responsible for providing administrative support and assistance to patients and their families upon their arrival at the hospital. Responsibilities Admission scheduling processes to ensure appropriate bed management and utilisation Pre‑booking and fund checking patients Managing incoming and outgoing calls to the front desk Provide timely and accurate information to queries by patients, visitors and other staff and departments Compilation and management of patient admission papers and HF claim forms Assisting with department billing Key to this role will also be the availability to work a rotating roster, and to work across other admin roles within the hospital. About You To succeed in this role, you will be an enthusiastic individual with a strong administrative skillset and a passion for customer service who enjoys being part of a busy environment. Computer literacy including the Microsoft Office suite of programs Experience in a medical setting will be highly desired, though not essential Experience with Patient Management Systems is highly desired, not essential Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage a busy workflow of admissions and discharges Comfortable working in a team of doctors, nurses, pathologists, administrators, and non‑clinical staff Remuneration Base Hourly Rates in accordance with Enterprise Agreement + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
