Within the branch, the ICT Networks & Infrastructure Platforms section is responsible for managing data centres, virtualization, automation, storage, and backup services. The team also provides after‑hours support for on‑premises infrastructure. The Department is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer (Automation & Virtualisation Specialist) to support its Infrastructure Platforms team. The role involves managing and enhancing the Department’s VMware and Aria (formerly vRealize) environments, developing automation workflows, and contributing to the ongoing modernization of infrastructure services. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced infrastructure professional to apply their automation and virtualization expertise in a large, complex, and secure government environment. Requirements Technical Expertise — Demonstrated experience with several of the following technologies: Aria Automation (vRealize Automation) Aria Orchestrator VMware NSX Aria Operations (vRealize Operations) Site Recovery Manager (SRM) VMware vSphere and Cloud Foundation Scripting and Coding Skills — Proven experience scripting and automating processes using: PowerShell PowerCLI YAML Documentation Skills — Ability to produce detailed design , build , and operations documentation for infrastructure processes and procedures. Communication & Collaboration — Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a technical team, deliver presentations, and coach or mentor other staff.
