To help us deliver innovative and successful solutions for our clients, we are seeking a Principal Structural Engineer to join our Sydney team, to support our national industrial and water business. This role is ideal for someone with established experience who is looking to take the next step in their career by helping to lead and develop our local Sydney team and working on a diverse range of water infrastructure projects. You will have the opportunity to lead structural designs for steel structures across hydraulic structures, pump stations, service reservoirs, and treatment facilities along with general light and heavy industrial projects. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you’ll manage end-to-end project delivery, including design, documentation, and construction phase support. As a principal, you will be a key leader in the Sydney Structural team and drive successful outcomes by leveraging and leading the rest of the team to deliver project outcomes. About You You will be a Chartered Professional Engineer with a bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering, with significant demonstrated experience across steel structures design (industrial buildings, steel framing and roofing). Experience with concrete structures and/or liquid retaining structures is desirable but not essential for this role. Highly organised with outstanding technical and communication skills you’ll have the desire and ability to lead and mentor a team and drive successful project outcomes for our clients. You will also bring a working style that embraces working collaboratively with other disciplines to bring together the best technical expertise from across a business, as well as a commitment to continuous learning and career progression, with a desire to develop and mentor junior engineers. Relevant industry knowledge, innovation and thought leadership is a must.
