Join us as a Seasonal Casual Parcel Sorter and feel good knowing you're providing a vital service for your community during our busiest time of the year.
You'll be?  Sorting parcels and mail (manually or machine-assisted) with the use of scanners   Manually loading and unloading mail from mail bags, trays, containers and metal cages (Unit Loading Devices)  Working across sophisticated processing equipment and lines  Operating and using load shifting equipment such as hand pallet devices and stackers whilst cooperating with operations staff to get the mail into the facility Role Details :  Mondy to Friday Roster 10:00am to 3:00pm Located in Eagle Farm   About you You're available to work from October, through our peak period You enjoy a physical role, can lift up to 16kgs of Mail and Parcels regularly, have a great memory and attention to detail  You're safety-conscious and able to safely operate equipment such as conveyors, loading/lifting devices including pallet jacks to load and unload parcels from trucks and vans   You enjoy a fast paced environment where you can complete compliance checks You're comfortable handling parcels that may contain meat and/or alcohol products   How we'll deliver for you  You'll be allocated a regular shift time, and work with a great bunch of people A higher rate of pay may apply for applicable shift times (penalty rates) You'll benefit from a 12% superannuation rate We may have opportunities for ongoing work beyond the peak season    We're delivering together At Australia Post, we acknowledge the Traditional?Custodians of the land on which we operate, live and gather as employees.
