Solicitor/Senior Associate, Asset & Structured Finance We are seeking a talented Solicitor or Senior Associate to join our asset and structured finance team in Sydney. This is an exciting opportunity to work with sophisticated clients on high‑profile matters involving cross‑border transactions and cutting‑edge financing structures, learning from Partners Steven Catanzariti and John Angus, as well as Executive Counsel Adam Parkin. What you'll do Advise on a broad range of asset finance and structured finance transactions, including aviation, shipping, mining and equipment finance, as well as cash flow‑related financing. Draft, review and negotiate complex financing documentation, including loan agreements, security documents and inter‑creditor arrangements. Play a key role in transactions from inception to completion, ensuring deadlines are met and client expectations are exceeded. Provide strategic, commercially focused advice to clients, anticipating risks and identifying innovative solutions. Mentor and support junior lawyers, fostering technical development and knowledge sharing within the team. Stay ahead of market trends and regulatory developments. Explore opportunities to leverage technology and AI tools to improve internal efficiencies and enhance client outcomes. What you'll bring 3–7 years’ experience as a lawyer, gained in a leading banking and finance practice. Whilst asset or structured finance experience is beneficial, candidates with broad corporate finance experience are also considered. Strong academic results and a commitment to continuous learning. Excellent drafting skills and attention to detail. A proactive, client‑focused approach and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
