If you don't see an opportunity in your area, please call or email Job Description HammondCare pastoral care volunteers have an opportunity to support the spiritual and emotional needs of the elderly clients living in their home. As a pastoral care volunteer, you’ll be actively involved with a local Christian church. We are seeking a compassionate volunteer to visit a lovely elderly woman in Rooty Hill. Originally from Italy, she is a devout Catholic with a deep love for family and creative hobbies like sewing and knitting. She would truly benefit from an Italian-speaking volunteer who can offer companionship, prayer, and spiritual support during this meaningful season of her life. You’ll supplement and complement the work of our HammondCare At Home Pastoral Care Coordinator, and under their direction you may: Support people to meet their spiritual needs Skills required for this role: High level of interpersonal skills, including strong empathy and listening skills. Pastoral Care training for example Chaplaincy, Clinical Pastoral Education, or you could attend HammondCare pastoral care training—Spiritual Care Series, in preparation to becoming a pastoral care volunteer.
