PO4 Senior Engineer (Civil) Full Time Contract Opportunity until January 2026 (with view to extend) PO4 $78 - $84 per hour plus superannuation Gold Coast Location Randstad Recruitment is proud to partner with a Queensland Government department who manages the transport systems and infrastructure across the state. In your role as a Senior Civil Engineer, you will be tasked with providing technical expertise to support the efficient and effective management of state‑controlled road infrastructure within the Region. This position is part of the Asset Management team and focuses on delivering specialized technical guidance for design, construction, and maintenance processes. Duties include : Conducting assessments of road infrastructure assets and preparing reports on recommended engineering solutions to particular asset conditions from a life cycle perspective. Analysing infrastructure condition data along with traffic, environment, economic, and other relevant parameters in a big‑data platform to develop whole‑of‑life asset management treatment options. Supporting asset management strategies for transport infrastructure that minimise whole of life costs across the elements. Providing support and advice on the planning and design process including business case development, to ensure delivery of program outcomes, value for money and best practice are achieved. Determining the engineering requirements, including materials, critical components and systems, involved in supporting project management and delivery. Maintaining and applying all relevant standards, policies, guidelines and legislative requirements necessary for the design and construction of road infrastructure projects. Skills & Experience : A Degree in Civil Engineering combined with relevant industry experience Open driver's licence and white card required It is expected that the successful candidate will possess strong oral / written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. They will display initiative, attention to detail, and have the ability to work autonomously and unsupervised whilst contributing to the wider team's objectives.
