Position Details As we continue our safety and growth journey in the region, we are now looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our Queensland team based at our Hemmant facility in Brisbane. In this hands-on role, you will play a key part in ensuring our critical assets operate safely, reliably and efficiently while supporting a strong safety culture across the site. About The Opportunity Work with modern plant, equipment and systems in a fast-paced, supply chain environment Be part of a supportive, values-driven team Contribute to essential services that keep food moving globally Opportunities for overtime and flexibility as required About The Role Reporting to the Facilities Maintenance Manager, QLD, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of mechanical systems and equipment across the site, ensuring safe and continuous operation at all times. Key responsibilities Performing routine maintenance and inspections on mechanical equipment Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults efficiently and safely Installing and assembling mechanical components and systems Interpreting technical drawings, blueprints and specifications Liaising with other trades, contractors and departments to coordinate work Maintaining accurate maintenance records and job reports Contributing to continuous improvement in plant reliability and performance Safety comes first — always Safety is at the heart of everything we do at Lineage. What You’ll Bring We’re looking for someone who is trade-qualified and safety-driven, with: Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter (Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent) Proven experience in a similar role, ideally in manufacturing or industrial environments Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics Valid driver’s licence and ability to work flexible hours / overtime as needed Physical fitness to perform manual tasks (lifting, climbing, standing for periods) Commitment to safe work practices and site policies Desirable (not essential) Welding and fabrication skills Scissor lift and forklift experience Our values At Lineage, our culture is built on Safety, Trust, Respect, Innovation, Boldness and Servant Leadership — and we live these every day in the way we work and support each other and create an awesome place to work.
