We are seeking an experienced and proactive IT Manager to lead our technology team in delivering innovative and robust IT solutions that support business growth and operational excellence. In this key leadership role, reporting to the General Manager, you will both contribute and oversee the planning, design, and execution of IT projects, ensuring the business remains agile and competitive in an ever-evolving digital landscape. You will also manage all aspects of IT operations, including cyber security, networking, systems infrastructure, and service delivery. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully developing, planning and implementing IT projects, as well as maintaining and managing all IT related functions. With 2 major projects earmarked for implementation with the support and assistance from the IT team, project management experience is also required. Once the projects have been successfully delivered and implemented, the role will transition to a continuous improvement and management role, overseeing all aspects of IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, cyber security and upgrades. Key Responsibilities Leadership: Effectively manage and motivate IT teams Strategy & Planning: Develop IT strategies, policies, and best practice guidelines to align with business objectives and requirements Resource Management: Oversee the acquisition, installation, and maintenance of hardware, software, and other technological resources Security & Compliance: Ensure data and network security, and compliance with relevant legal and security requirements Budgeting: Manage IT budgets, allocate funds, and ensure cost-effective technology solutions are implemented Team Management: Lead and manage the IT team and external service providers, oversee their work on projects, and provide training to users System Operations: Conduct system audits, monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and plan for upgrades and system changes Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field Previous experience in an IT management (3+ Years) and senior support role Experience with Dynamics MS365 ERP Applications (or similar): implementation, upgrades and ongoing management Experience with Dynamics MS365 Add ons is desirable Experience with business analysis Strong knowledge of hardware, software, networking, and cybersecurity principles, e.g. SQL/SSRS Reporting etc Australian work rights are required for this position Key Skills and Qualities Budget Management: Strong financial acumen to manage IT spending effectively Technical Oversight: Deep understanding of computer systems, networks, and cybersecurity Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement technology solutions that support business goals Communication skills: Liaise with other department managers, senior leadership, 3rd party vendors on IT needs and performance Accountability: Take responsibility for IT issues and outcomes If you are ready for your next professional challenge, send your cover letter and resume to @laygroup.com.au - only shortlisted candidates will be contacted Be careful - Don’t provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.
