Brian Boyd Waterproofing are a family‑owned organisation, looking for motivated individuals to join our team as Trainee Waterproofers. This is a great opportunity to learn a highly valued skill with full on‑the‑job training and career progression towards a trade qualification. About the role As a Trainee Waterproofer, you’ll initially work alongside our experienced professionals, learning how to prepare, apply, and maintain waterproofing systems on a variety of projects. The role involves both indoor and outdoor work, using a range of materials and techniques to protect buildings and structures from water damage. You’ll receive full training in: Safe Working practices and site preparation Selection and application of waterproofing systems Reading plans and following project specifications Working with a variety of waterproofing systems and tools Who We’re Looking For We are open to applicants with any level of experience, including those completely new to construction. Those with relatable skills who are looking to refine them to be more waterproofing focused with assistance from our senior team are also encouraged to apply. Whilst we are happy to take applicants without prior waterproofing experience you will need to be: Reliable , punctual, and willing to learn. Comfortable with very physical, hands‑on work – the role involves indoor and outdoor work. Able to closely follow instructions. Able to work well in a team initially but comfortable to work independently (once your training is complete). Safety conscious and attentive to detail. Able to get to site independently – a driver’s licence and reliable transport are essential/ preferred, with the option of a fully maintained company vehicle for the right person.
