About The Role: The Assistant Director Workforce Services leads the development and implementation of values-based HR practices to deliver contemporary HR services to the business. The role leads a team that works creatively within public sector frameworks to deliver outcomes for business partners. The Assistant Director Workforce Services holds a pivotal role within the People and Culture division, leading a team of experienced HR practitioners, driving a commitment of customer service excellence and developing a positive culture. The ability to work in a constantly changing environment and adopt innovative HR practices to manage the workload associated with a large and complex workforce is essential. About You: You are a strategic and people-focused HR leader with a proven ability to develop and implement values-based HR practices. As a trusted advisor to senior leadership, you excel at influencing stakeholders, assessing risk and fostering a positive workplace culture through times of complex change. Your leadership style drives accountability through clear communication and collaboration across the business. You are solutions focused and thrive when you are proactively addressing complex HR situations that deliver outcomes for the business. This position operates in the context of Leading Others. This means that you will motivate and enable others to deliver high quality work. You will balance time between doing the work and coaching, guiding and developing others. This requires a significant shift in thinking from ‘doing’ to supporting others to ‘do good work’; and consideration of present and future needs when allocating time to the team and projects you lead. You will articulate how work is to be done, providing clear direction and feedback.
