Laser Cutting

An opportunity to join a fast-growing, family owned and operated company in Toowoomba (Qld), who takes great pride in their quality of work and customer service. This is a full-time permanent position following the completion of the successful trial period. The position allows for varied tasks and the opportunity for the right person to move into a role with greater responsibility and grow with the business. Position Overview: You will need to be versatile, as this role will cover several aspects of metal fabrication, including the operation of different types of machines and equipment, such as Laser Machines, Press Brake, CNC Router and Spiral Welding Machine. Your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Operating bench grinders and powered hand tools; Loading/unloading material for our Laser Cutting machine and CNC Router Manual removal of laser cut parts from Laser Machine Clean, count, check off and load laser cut parts onto a pallet ready for dispatch Quality check parts prior to dispatch Maintain machines and equipment ensuring they are in good working order Complete preventative maintenance on equipment and tools Maintain good housekeeping around workshop Work expediently to meet customer deadlines Maintain a high standard of workplace health and safety at all times Essential: The successful applicant must be an Australian citizen or have the right to work in Australia. You will have excellent written and communication skills and be a team player with a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn. We are looking for someone with solid experience in steel fabrication and an understanding of the material handling processes for Laser Cutting Machines, CNC Routers, Press Brake Machines and other fabrication equipment. It is essential that you are physically fit and strong, as this role requires significant manual handling of various metal products and it is important that you can demonstrate safety at all times. Flexibility is crucial, as jobs may change throughout the day and you must be able to adapt and work well under pressure. You take pride in your work, with excellent attention to detail and you are reliable, consistent and productive with a proactive approach to your work.
