About the Role We are looking for a highly experienced and motivated Operations Manager to oversee and drive performance across our three manufacturing sites . You'll lead a talented team of up to 100 staff , manage day‑to‑day operations, and work closely with senior management to deliver strong results and ongoing business growth. This role is hands‑on and strategic—ideal for a natural leader who thrives in a fast‑paced, manufacturing environment and enjoys working closely with people across all levels of the business. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage manufacturing operations across three sites to ensure productivity, quality, and efficiency. Oversee a team of up to 100 staff , providing strong leadership, guidance, and support. Collaborate with key internal teams—Sales, Purchasing, and Engineering Design —to maintain alignment and workflow. Manage cash flow, budgets, and financial performance , ensuring profitability and sustainability. Oversee the company’s store, repairs, aftermarket, and labour management functions. Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence across all departments. Ensure OHS compliance , promoting a proactive safety‑first culture. Partner with marketing and sales to support brand growth and new opportunities. Identify and lead future growth projects , innovation, and process improvement initiatives. Be a proactive problem solver with a focus on long‑term success and stability. About You Proven industry experience in road transport manufacturing or heavy vehicle equipment fabrication. A minimum of 4‑5 years of road transport manufacturing experience is required. Strong understanding of aluminium and Hardox materials and processes. Demonstrated ability to lead large, multi‑site teams with confidence and accountability. Senior management level leadership experience managing teams of 60+ staff is required. Highly organised multitasker with exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills. Strong financial acumen and understanding of business operations and cash flow. Self‑motivated, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement. Passionate about people, performance, and building on the legacy of a trusted family business.
